Dear LCLA Members,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the passing of Andy Greenwell. Andy was one of the founders of LCLA and served as the first president of the organization. He will be remembered for his unyielding commitment to the LCLA mission and staunch support of Airmen and their families assigned to Langley Air Force Base. You may also know that Steve Mallon, LCLA member and past president was Andy’s son in law. My understanding is Andy’s obituary will be out tomorrow and that R. Hayden Smith is handling other details related to his passing. We have lost a true warrior, friend and mentor. LCLA proudly salutes Andy for his selfless service to this organization, his community and his country! Please remember the Greenwell and Mallon families in your thoughts and prayers.
