    • Note: The HYC allows groups of up to 50 in their upstairs dining room and we must wear masks unless eating. They will serve a ($15.00 per person) buffet style lunch. 

End of Year Note - 12.20.18

This past year LCLA, along with three peninsula based construction companies, donated an outdoor sand volleyball court (pictured) with equipment to the Airmen living in the dormitories on LAFB. We also sponsored the 2018 AirPower over Hampton Roads distinguished visitors “Commander’s Tent” as well as providing refreshments for Airmen working the airshow logistics. Our annual contribution of $10,000 helped fund several important Airmen events and programs. You may recall based on the conversations JJ and I had with the Senior Enlisted Command Chiefs, the LCLA membership approved an increase in the annual contribution to the Command Chiefs in the 2019 budget from $10 to $15K. SECAF Visits LAFB - 12.12.18

The Honorable Heather Wilson, Secretary of the Air Force, visited Langley Air Force Base, December 12th, to meet with Airmen assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing. Her visit was focused on the F-22 mission at LAFB. She also spent time with representatives from the City of Hampton, City of Newport News and Langley Civic Leaders Association. LCLA President, Bruce Sturk, presented SECAF an LCLA “challenge coin” and thanked her for visiting the base.
